Q:Who can fly?
A:We welcome flyers of all ages and abilities! As long as you’re reasonably fit and healthy then you can prepare for take-off, although we do ask you check the list of criteria below before you book. Helping you achieve the dream of flight is always our goal, so we’ll do everything we can to make that dream a reality!
Q:What is the list of criteria to be able to fly?
A:There are just a few exceptions:
- Flyers must be aged 3 years and above
- you must weight less than 115 Kgs
- Pregnant women should not fly
- If you've suffered from neck, back or heart problems, check out with your doctor before you book
- If you have experienced shoulder dislocations in the past, we advise against flying
If you’re still unsure whether you’re eligible to fly, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the iFLY team!
Q:I have disability, can I fly?
A:Having a disability doesn’t prevent you from flying, so just let the staff know if you have additional needs or requirements. Indoor flying can in fact, be a great way to challenge and push yourself to the limits, so it could become the perfect pastime for you!
Q:Do I have to do the training session?
A:We ask all first-time flyers to undertake the initial training session, as it sets you up with the basic skills you’ll need. There are lots of useful pre-flight information included which will help improve your flying posture and enable you to get the most from your experience with us. If you’ve completed at least one flight within the past three months then you don’t need to do the training session again and can simply book as a Return Flyer.
Q:What should i wear?
A:We recommend that you wear something you’ll be comfortable in. Casual clothing such as sweatpants and a shirt without a collar are advised, as your flight suit will need to go over them. We also ask that you wear well-fitted, lace-up sneakers or running shoes, as other footwear is not permitted
Q:Can I take a camera on my flight?
A:Unfortunately, we cannot allow flyers to take cameras in with them for security reasons, including GoPro cameras with suitable attachments. The good news is we take our own high-quality photos and videos, so you can still get the chance to share your flight with friends and family.
Q:How long does a flight last?
A:Each flight in the wind tunnel lasts for one minute, but the total flight time will depend on the package you’ve chosen. Think sixty seconds sounds quite short? When you leap from a plane the total free-fall time lasts just forty-five seconds, so you get more airborne timewith us! A package with two instructor-led flights gives you two turns in the wind tunnel, but some of our packages include double-length flights at a reduced rate. A First-Time Flyer experience lasts around an hour and a half in total.
Q:Is it safe?
A:Completely. Your safety is our number one priority, and our highly-trained and certified instructors will see you have a safe and enjoyable experience. The instructor will be with you the entire time you are in the wind tunnel, however experienced you might be.
Q:Is it hard to breathe?
A:Not at all! It’s about the same as if you were to poke your head out the window of a moving car – just breathe normally and all you’ll feel is the wind on your face.
Q:Who can fly the VR Experience?
A:We ask that you have at least two flights with us before you try out the VR Experience.
Q:What can I expect during the Virtual Reality Experience?
A:The Virtual Reality Experience gives you the sensation of real freefall or a wing-suited BASE jump over your preferred location. You’ll get some pre-flight training and enjoy a standard flight before you take to the skies with the VR Experience, immersing yourself in the virtual reality of flight! An instructor will be with you throughout the whole thing, but we warn flyers that there can be a risk of motion sickness.
Q:Do I have to re-do the training if I’ve flown before?
A:If you’ve flown with us at least once within the past six months, then you don’t need to retake the training session. However, if you’d like a refresher then we’re more than happy for you to do the training again!
Q:Can I take a camera on my flight?
A:Unfortunately, we can’t allow flyers to take cameras in with them for security reasons, including GoPro cameras with suitable attachments. The good news is we take our own high-quality photos and videos, so you can still get the chance to share your flight with friends and family.
Q:Can I fly with my own jumpsuit and helmet?
A:Yes, as long as they are in good order. All we ask is that there is no camera attached to your helmet.

Q:Does indoor skydiving help with my skydiving training?
A:Indoor skydiving gives you the same experience and sensation as outdoor skydiving, so it does help train your body and improve your diving position. It also helps you to learn about initiating and stopping turns and how to read an altimeter, all things you’ll need for an outdoor dive. Learning to dive in a controlled environment means you’ll feel less fear when you experience real freefall. Unfortunately, space in the wind tunnel is limited and you won’t be able to practice somersaults or other manoeuvres, so a flight with us probably can’t help towards your AFF-related training.
Q:Do I need to pay for an instructor?
A:No – all our coaches are here to teach you and keep you safe, so there is no additional coaching fee.

A:The minimum booking time is two minutes, but times can be booked in five-minute increments. That means you can book a 5, 10, 15, 30 or 60-minute session.
Q:Can I buy gift vouchers online?
